Vietnam coach Park Hang-seo and Indonesia coach Shin Tae-yong had a war of nerves ahead of the second leg of the Southeast Asian World Cup semifinals.
Vietnam and Indonesia will play the second leg of the 2022 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Mitsubishi Electric Cup semi-final at 9:30 pm on the 9th at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The result of the first leg in Indonesia was a 0-0 draw, so the team that wins the second leg will advance to the final.
Coach Shin Tae-yong expressed his confidence at a press conference held ahead of the semi-finals, saying, “I came here to win. I will get the best result in this confrontation with Vietnam.” 토토사이트
He continued, “After I took office, Indonesia has developed day by day and can become stronger in the future. I see Indonesia as equal to Thailand and Vietnam now.”
Director Park Hang-seo expressed discomfort with director Shin Tae-yong’s remarks.
Park said, “I admit that Indonesia has improved, but we need to show them on the pitch that they are really getting stronger. If we lose to Indonesia, we will admit it. If we win, we should stop talking about that.”
He said, “My contract is coming to an end, and if I lose to Indonesia, it will be my last game as a Vietnam coach. Conversely, if I win, I can play two more final games.”
This is not the first time the two command towers have had a war of nerves.
At a press conference right after the first game held on the 6th, coach Park Hang-seo said, “Indonesia has become stronger since the new coach took over, but Vietnam is still stronger.”
In response, coach Shin Tae-yong responded, “If Vietnam is actually stronger, why did we draw in this match? We are not Indonesia of the past.”
