The fourth inning ended with two grounders to second and a grounder to third. In the fifth, two grounders to shortstop and a fly out to right field silenced the Nihon Ham bats. A grounder to shortstop in the sixth was followed by back-to-back strikeouts to retire the side.
Bauer, who needed just 67 pitches to get through the sixth, struck out back-to-back batters in the seventh to get two outs, but on a two-pitch, two-strike count against Jusei Mannami, he threw a 154-kilometer high fastball for a solo home run over the left field fence.메이저놀이터
