The badminton business league, in which all Korean shuttlecock stars are mobilized, celebrates its second season. ‘Legendary’ Lee Yong-dae (25, Yonex) and ‘shuttlecock genius’ Ahn Se-yeong (21, Samsung Life Insurance) are on standby.
The ‘2023 Passion Korea Badminton League’, which covers the best badminton team in Korea, will be held on the 17th at Pocheon General Gymnasium, Gyeonggi-do. This is the second season after the first unemployment league ‘2022 DB Korea League’ held last year.
The men’s and women’s business teams will be divided into two groups from the 17th to March 4th to play the league match, and from April 2nd to 9th, the playoffs and final league will be held at the Namyangju Sports and Culture Center in Gyeonggi-do. The match will be held in the order of doubles → singles → doubles → singles → singles as a 3-dan and 2-doubles team event. 먹튀검증
The second season was even bigger. With 12 men’s teams and 9 women’s teams, the competition has become fiercer than last year (8 teams each). Group A for men is Yonex, Goyang City Hall, Icheon City Hall, Dangjin City Hall, MG Saemaeul Geumgo, and Gwangju Bank. Group B consisted of Miryang City Hall, Chungju City Hall, Suwon City Hall, Samsung Life Insurance, Gwangmyeong City Hall, and the Armed Forces Sports Corps. The women’s division is Samsung Life Insurance, MG Saemaul Geumgo, Siheung City Hall, and Pocheon City Hall in Group A, and Yeongdong-gun Office, KGC Ginseng Corporation, Hwaseong City Hall, Jeonbuk Bank, and Hwasun-gun Office in Group B. Sports clubs for life (14 men’s teams, 11 women’s teams) will also be held.
The momentum of the ‘defending champions’ in both men’s and women’s divisions is frightening. Yong-Dae Lee, the gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is holding out for Yonex in the men’s division, and Se-Young Ahn, who stands tall as the representative of Korea’s shuttlecock, is in Samsung Life Insurance’s women’s division.
In addition, Shuttlecock stars such as Kim Hye-jung (Samsung Life Insurance), Jung Na-eun (Hwasun-gun Office), Gong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank), Choi Sol-kyu, and Seo Seung-jae (Army Sports Corps) are also on standby.
